Sofapaka thumps Homeboyz at the Annex

Goals either half by Roddy Manga, Sébastine Sunday, and Simon Abuko were all that we needed to beat Kakamega Homeboyz.

In a match staged at Kasarani Annex, Roddy Manga scored a quick goal in the opening minute of the match. The striker made no mistakes pouncing on Ben Stanley’s delivery to the head against past Homeboyz custodian Babu.

At the quarter, we came close to doubling our lead through Alex Imbusia. The striker collected Ben Stanley’s pass, but his shot went a few inches wide.

At the hour mark, the visitors had a glorious opportunity to level the scores through Moses Mudavadi, but Roddy Manga reacted just in time to intercept the midfielder’s effort.

Five minutes before the break, we had another chance to double our Roddy Manga. The striker was once again put through on goal by Ben Stanley, but he failed to direct his header into an empty net from the near post.

Ten minutes after restarting for the final half, we doubled our lead through Sébastine Sunday. The midfielder sneaked through the crowd to head the ball home at the near post from Ben Stanley’s corner kick delivery.

With a quarter hour to play, the visitors pulled a goal back in the match through Michael Karamor. The striker made no mistakes in his spot-slotting in the past, says Simon Masaka.

Ten minutes from time, we extended our lead through Simon Abuko. The forward took no chances from the spot, putting the ball beyond goalkeeper Babu after Ben Stanley was brought down in the penalty area by Collins Odhiambo, as we held on for maximum points.
