Sofapaka will take on Bandari on Sunday in the opening fixture of the FKF Premier League 22/23 season. Ahead of the clash at Mbaraki, Coach David Ouma has expressed confidence in his team to carry the day on Sunday.
It is great to finally have the league back this weekend. It’s been a while, but we are raring to begin the journey. We will begin our quest this weekend in Mombasa, and being an away match, I expect a tough encounter because I know our opponents will come in full force because they will be at home. Nonetheless, I am optimistic for a positive outcome on Sunday. Said Ouma
We have our ambitions to achieve, and with the status of the league now clearly defined, it is going to be a season worth the fight to meet our targets at the end of the campaign. Thus, we are fully ready to get the season rolling. He added
We have had a long preseason that we carefully made good use of in getting the players ready for the season. Of course, along the way we had some injury concerns, but I am glad all managed to recover, and I have a full house at my disposal to choose from ahead of Sunday’s tie except for Geoffrey Ojunga, who has a fever but is under medication and waiting for the doctors’ clearance.
Bandari Football Club will host Sofapaka on Sunday at Mbaraki Sports Grounds.
