Sofapaka will take on Banadari Football Club in the opening fixture of the FKF Premier League 22/23 season, and defender Stephen Okola, who scored in the reverse fixture, is upbeat about facing the dockers on Sunday.
“I am happy we will finally be kicking the ball starting this weekend. “It has been a long wait, but I am glad we are finally back to compete in a more structured and competitive league than last season.” He said
“We are facing Bandari in our first fixture of the season, and I can’t wait to take on the Dockers once again.” The last tie was a great one, and I am happy I was on the scoresheet, scoring the lone goal that earned the team maximum points on the road. “I can’t wait to face Bandari yet again, though it will be a tough match because they will want to prove a point, but I am so confident of a win since we have a strong team and we have really prepared well. ” He added
“Ahead of this campaign, we have our targets for the season, and I feel they are achievable.” It will be all about giving our individual best and collective team effort in each game we will be facing because it won’t be an easy walk in the park. “We have a well-balanced team, and I believe the new signings will greatly boost our goals for the season.” Concluded Okolla.
