ODHIAMBO WELCOMES POINT, CALLS ON POOR OFFICIATING

Sofapaka and Kenya Police settled for a point in a tightly contested FKF-Premier League fixture on Sunday 6th February 2022.

Addressing the media after the match, tactician Ken Odhiambo welcomed one point whilst criticizing the level of officiating.

On his view on the match

Generally, I am satisfied with today’s performance. We played well and we were entirely on top of the match. We really needed full points. Sadly, we had to settle for one point.

On solid partnership at the back.

I am so impressed we have done well behind, compared to last season. We have had a massive improvement and conceded fewer goals in this campaign.

On lack of goals upfront;

It is a concern for us because you need to score goals to win your matches. Our progression upfront has been good, regardless of the goal drought. I believe we will achieve the goals in our subsequent assignments.

On officiating

I am disappointed with the level of officiating I witnessed on Sunday. I usually do not like to comment about officiating, but with all that I witnessed on Sunday, a lot has to change and if we don’t change and address the issue, then we are heading for a downfall.
