OCHIENG: THE TWO WEEK BREAK WAS USEFUL

Hansel Ochieng has termed the two-week break as useful in a bid to work on areas of concern whilst describing Talanta’s return leg as important ahead of league resumption. Read on more for the full transcript below.

On the poor run of results:
In football, there are always two moments. Unfortunately, we found ourselves in a rough time, posting poor results. It is a concern for us, and we really want to turn around the current situation.

On the two-week break impact:
The two-week break came in handy for us. It has really been important for us to have some time off and get back to the drawing board, work on our major undoings, and put our house in order. We experienced fatigue due to fixture congestion, but we feel much more rejuvenated and raring to go yet again.

A top-five finish is still on the table.
We understand the pressure and demands on the club. I believe the twelve matches on the cards are going to be worth a fight for. This can only be achieved by winning and being solid at the back.

On facing Talanta on Sunday:
The Sunday fixture will be so important for us in our push to move up the log. The first leg tie was such a disappointing and painful loss. I personally have never lost in that manner, and it was a wake-up call for us. We want to bring back the joy, and this we can only achieve by beginning with a win over Talanta on Sunday.

On his personal target for the season: “
I had a good start, but injuries cropped up that have really derailed my performance.” I am back and in good shape. The twelve matches offer a perfect chance to add more goals to my tally and finish the season on a respectable position.
