Tusker vs Sofapaka friendly match report

Sofapaka FC head coach Francis haringingo is confident he has a formidable squad that will produce excellent results in the upcoming Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League 2023-24 season.

Speaking after playing to a hard fought 1-1 all draw against 13th times premier league champions Tusker FC during a heated match staged at Ruaraka Grounds, Nairobi on August 19 2023 Haringingo stated that his players have the potential to bag maximum points in most if not all of their clashes.
“Drawing against a strong side as Tusker is no mean feat, it indicates that our players have gelled well enough and are ready for the task ahead. They displayed beautiful football and am hoping to see them reciprocate that in the league,” quipped Haringingo.

Haringingo also noted that he is elated that his players played with a lot of confidence and did not fear that they were playing against a former champion.

“As a coach its very encouraging seeing your players adhere to the script that you provided them with. We will need to maintain the same braveness witnessed today in this match when we play our opening match against defending champions Gor Mahia FC.

During the entertaining match, Tusker we the first to find the back of the net via James Kibande with as stunning striker in the first half before red hot striker Fiston Razak levelled the playing field in the second half after capitalizing on the goalie mistake to score for the Batato Ba Mungu.

Batoto Ba Mungu are fresh from participating in their pre -season tournament dubbed the Elite pre season games where they posted mixed results after suffering a 2-0 defeat playing against Posta Ramngers FC in their first duel before going down 2-1 while battling against Kariobangi Sharks before finishing the tournament with 2-2 all draw against National Super League Side (NSL) Kajiado FC.
