Bidco beats Sofapaka at Annex

Bidco United handed Sofapaka a 2-0 defeat at Annex.
Goals either half by Peter Nzuki and Samuel Ndungu were enough as Bidco United handed Sofapaka their second defeat in a row.

In a match staged at Kasarani Annex, the game started on a high tempo with end-to-end action from both sides, but after a quarter of an hour, there was nothing to show for it from either side.

At the half-hour mark, we were awarded a free kick after Brain Wepo was brought down by Nzuki Peter. Titus Achesa stepped up and hit a low drive that troubled the Bidco keeper, but the custodian reacted, punching Achesa’s effort out for safety.

Five minutes later, Baron Oketch picked up Brian Wepo’s pass before dribbling into Bidco’s defense, but Peter Nzuki reacted, intercepting Oketch’s goal-bound effort.

Against the run of play before the break, the host took the lead through Peter Nzuki. The veteran midfielder stepped up from a set piece, hitting a teasing volley into the roof past Simon Masaka as the hosts took the lead at the break.

At the hour mark, upon restart, the host doubled their lead through Samuel Ndugu. The forward collected a long ball before going past Stephen Okola and loping past Masaka to double the hosts’ lead.

Twenty minutes from now, Ronack Otieno will set Jacob Onyango through on goal. The young forward hurriedly hit a hard shot on goal, but his attempt slightly went off target.
Against the run of play, Maqbul Ochola and Kevin Okoth had a great link-up play. Okoth laid a lovely pass to Rody Manga, but the striker’s chip narrowly missed the target as the host held on for the win.
